One last hurrah...

So...our weekend didn't go quite as planned. Friday afternoon, Hudson starting throwing up. Have I mentioned how much I HATE the throw ups!!!
ANYTHING---ANYTHING but that!!!!
Oh well...such is life--right.
Hud continued to get sick all afternoon and into the evening before he finally stopped.
Poor guy! He was absolutely miserable!!!
Thankfully he slept all night long, but on Saturday morning when he woke up he was CRABBY! No more sickness, but oh. my. goodness was he GRUMPY.
The three big kids had soccer games and since he wasn't getting sick anymore, I thought I would try and go. Maybe the fresh air would do him some good and lift his spirits. Well, he fussed through the games and was just plain irritable! We came home and he (thankfully) took a LONG nap. I was supposed to take the kids to a birthday party that afternoon, but we were unable to attend because Hud was so... unhappy. (Shane had some things to get done Saturday afternoon, or he would have stayed home with him.)
The kids were totally bummed:(

Sunday morning we woke up and started getting ready for church. Hudson seemed better, but we quickly realized his fussiness was still here. We decided to fore go church and not put him, or the sweet nursery workers, through Hudson's irritability. After spending most of the morning home, Hudson seemed better.
Shane and I talked and we decided, in order to NOT have the weekend be a total bust, we would try and take the kids to Carowinds for a few hours.
Again, we thought maybe some outdoor time would be good for Hud.

We also hadn't been in a few weeks, and our chances to go the rest of this year were growing slim.

Sunday was probably the last time we'll be there this season, so even though it was a short visit, we wanted it to be memorable!!

It was our one last hurrah for the year!

The kids had a great time (of course)...

and even Hudson seemed happier and a little less grumpy!

Bless his heart.
Even though it was a rough weekend, one look at that sweet smile just melts my heart!
Love this boy.
Happy or Not;)

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Aw, that is a precious smile! Sweet Hud, hope he (and everyone) is healthy this week!
LOVE the photos from Carowinds! It does look like you all had a great time! I hope we can make it out there one more time, but the season is quickly coming to a close!

May no one else in your house get the "throw ups!" They really are the worst!
