Celebrating Gottcha Day!

One year ago today, our lives were forever changed!
One year ago today, we held our daughter for the first time!
One year ago today, our prayers were answered and our dream came true!
One year ago today, God poured out His love and blessing on our family!

Home for the first time!

As I think back to that special day, I am reminded of a chorus that we regularly sing in church.
I have been singing it in my heart all day long.

"We will remember
We will remember
We will remember the works of Thy hands.
We will stop and give You praise
For great is Thy faithfulness!"

Thank you Lord Jesus for our precious baby girl!

Here are pictures from the moment we were introduced to our precious Sophie girl!

I've been reading about you and yours for months now, and just thought this was precious! It's amazing how she really does look like you. I think sometimes God plans even that in adoption. His ways are amazing! Enjoy reliving that special day!

Oh so precious. I love the look on your face when you held her for the first time. There is no love like a mother's love.

I found your blog through Kelly's Corner. You have an adorable family and God has blessed you with your beautiful children. I read that you dabble a little in sewing. The pillowcase dress that your daughter is wearing can be made very easily. Just lay it flat and make a pattern from it. You can make them in winter colors and put longsleve shirts under them and leggings. I bought my daughter one and then used it as a pattern to make them cheaper at home. Happy parenting!

I too found your blog through Kelly's Korner. Happy Gotcha Day, Sophie! :) She is SO adorable. Love the blonde hair and blue eyes. I work for a Christian nonprofit for pregnant teens and we have an adoption agency - so your story is so precious to me. :)
