Hello and Goodbye!

Summer is in full swing at our house and we are definitely enjoyin' EVERY second! And as much as we anticipated the "dog days of summer" our life has not really slowed down too much! We just replaced many of our fall/winter activities with new and exciting summer ones.

We said, "Good Bye to soccer!"

 And "Hello to soft ball!"
We said, "Good Bye to first grade!"
And "Hello to second grade!"
We said, "Good Bye to third grade!"
And "Hello to fourth grade!"
We said, "Good Bye to Awana!"

And "Hello to swim team!"
We said, "Good Bye to Shane and Corban"
And "Hello to a week at summer camp!"

We said, "Good Bye to alarm clocks and homework!!"
And "Hello to picnics and pool days!"

A Sweet Treat!

Enjoyin' a little treat at our brand new chic-fil-a!

Happy Gotcha Day!!

On June 25th, 2012--in a hot, dark room located on the other side of the world in Xi'an, China, Hu Ying Yu was placed in our arms and officially became Adelyn Kate Ying Bruce FOREVER!!!!!
Today she is the happiest, silliest, spunkiest, and SWEETEST little girl EVER!!! We are beyond BLESSED!!

One BIG Birthday Bash

June is a month chocked full of birthdays! Addy-Kate's is on the 2nd, Corban's and my Grandma's is on the 5th, and KK's is on the 17th.
 Such a FUN month!!!
Because there are sooo many birthdays to celebrate, we usually do one BIG family party that includes everyone!
And because this was AK's FIRST American birthday party, it was EXTRA special!!!
Of course, opening her presents was her very favorite part!
Corban turned double digets this year!!!
How is that possible?!?!?!
 I STILL can't believe I have a 10 year old;)
Say what!!!
It was such a fun night hanging out with friends and family...
and cherishing another year with our sweet birthday blessings!!

Our first camping adventure!

Shane and I have been talking about taking the kids camping for a while now. So for our very first time out, we decided to keep things simple.

We went camping in my parents backyard!
They have a pool, a pond, a fire pit...and clean restrooms within walking distance from the campsite!
It was the PERFECT spot for THE first official Bruce family camp out!
