The REASON for the season **(updated)**

**I'm sorry if you tried to view the video and it didn't work. I guess I had them marked private. It's fixed now...hopefully**
When I was in the second grade, my teacher, Mrs. Hargett had our entire class memorize Luke 2.  During our Christmas party that year, I clearly remember standing up in the front of the classroom, reciting the verses to the parents watching. To this day, I still remember it word for word...complete with the hand motions, of course;)
So a few years ago, I decided it was time to start teaching the Christmas story, according to Luke, to my own kids. We have yet to learn the ENTIRE chapter, but Corban and Riley know most of it.
This year, it was time to include the little ones as well. And yes, even Addy-Kate, in her broken English, can say a few words of it too. It's just the sweetest thing EVER.
It truly amazes me at how FAST kids can memorize scripture. Their little brains (and hearts) just soak it up.
And one of the biggest blessings I've seen, as they've learned this passage, is how much of the Christmas story they now understand. I've watched them play with the characters in their little nativity, while acting out the story, and saying their verses together.

So without further ado...here's my sweet Hud and precious Soph saying their Bible verses.

I LOVE Hudson's sweet voice as he tries his very best to pronounce each and every word.

And in typical Sophie fashion, she adds a little dramatic flare to everything she does.
LOVE IT!!!!!

They are totally adorable!!! I was hoping Sophie would be in BibleZone on Sunday. We had the kids dress up & live acted the story from Luke...I was hoping she could be an angel since I knew she could say the verse! Love this!!!

So so cute to watch!! That inspires me to have the kids learn longer verses, sometimes I underestimate them! Thanks for sharing!
