All SMILES!!!

Hudson has started smiling! It just makes my heart melt!!! Those first few smiles are the best!! Hudson will just look at me so intently as I talk to him. Then he will get a twinkle in his eye and I can see a little grin begin to form on his face! It takes a moment, and then all of a sudden that little grin turns into an all out big cheeser smile that takes over his entire body!!!! I just love it!!! There is nothing sweeter!!!!

Here he is all ready for church!
All smiles for the camera!

...and here are a few more of my precious smiles!!
Unfortunately, Hudson wasn't feeling it at this moment!

Me and my girl smilin' for the camera!!

Some girly fun!!

So, I saw these adorable onesies on etsy. They were selling for anywhere between $20.00 and $30.00. I thought they were so cute, but didn't want to spend that much on a onesie.
I thought they looked easy enough to do, so I decided to try and make a few for my Sophie girl!

I think they turned out pretty cute and I even had enough ribbon to make matching hair bows!! (FYI... for those of you who live in my area... Walmart (in the Galleria Shopping Center) does monogramming. I dropped the onesies off one morning while I was out, and a few hours later they called to let me know they were done!)

And here is my little model!

Celebrating Father's Day

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Father's day!

Saturday night, we made Shane's favorite meal for dinner. He LOVES to grill, so that's just what we did! We grilled pork tenderloin and pineapple!! YUMMY!!! It was delicious!

Sunday, after church we headed over to my parents house to not only celebrate Father's Day, but my sister Kelly's 18th birthday as well! (Because we have such a large family, we tend to always be celebrating someones birthday along with whatever special holiday it is!)
Everyone enjoyed making their own ice cream sundaes!

It was a hot day, so in order to beat the heat, everyone went for a swim in my parents pool!!

Here is Riley enjoying a ride with my Daddy!
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Dad!

Fun in the pool! My sisters Al and "B" with baby Jake and Sophie!!!

Shane is such an incredible daddy!!!
I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating the Father's in your life!!

Just for fun!!!

So we are only about two weeks into summer vacation and I have already heard those infamous words..."Mom, we're bored!!" It was just a matter of time! I knew this would have to be a slower summer in general because of the babies and their schedules! Between naps and feedings, well, it doesn't leave a ton of time for fun outings. I try my best to keep them busy with art projects and games, but then there are those times when they have to just find something to do by them selves!

It has also rained at least two afternoons this week. This didn't help matters any.
So instead of going to the pool for the afternoon, the boys went swimming in the bath tub!!!

We added some bubbles for fun!!! Not only did this keep them busy for over an hour, but as a bonus, I had two clean, sweet smelling little boys when they were done!!!!

Another month older...

Sophie and Hudson are another month older today! Sophie is nine months and Hudson is two. I can hardly believe it!!! The days and weeks are just flying by!

We go for their check ups today, so it will be interesting to see how much they have grown since their last doctor visit.

Sophie is getting to be such a big girl. She isn't crawling quite yet, but I think it will be any day. She can scoot backwards and in complete circles, but hasn't figured out how to move forwards yet! It makes her pretty mad. She sees something she wants, but can't quite figure out how to get to it! It won't be long and I know she will be all over the place! (It's time to baby proof this house!!!!)

She has two little bottom teeth and is cutting a few on the top! It's so cute how her look has changed since getting some teeth! She is looking more like a big girl!!!

Hudson is just the sweetest baby ever! He is a GREAT sleeper!!!!! He started sleeping 8-9 hours a night at about 7 weeks. He goes down about 9 and wakes up around 5am! He is a pretty content baby and only cries if he is hungry or tired. He is the most precious thing ever and I LOVE him to pieces!!!

He just started smiling too! When he looks at me and smiles...well it just melts my heart!!!

I know these two will be the best of friends!

A day at the LAKE!

Saturday morning, we spent the day with our good friends, the Howards, at their beautiful new lake house!
It was another GORGEOUS day and we had the best time!!

Look at Sophie in her life jacket! I thought this was just the funniest thing I'd seen!
It almost swallowed her whole!!!
My two sisters came along too! We enjoyed a fun day full of...

~Boating...
Hudson and Drew slept the entire boat ride!

~Tubing...
Corban was very hesitant to go at first, but after a little coursing from Shane, and encouragement from his friend Jack, he went and had the best time!!!

~Fishing...
Everyone caught at least one fish!

~Swimming...
Corban and his best buddy, Jack!

We also celebrated the birthdays of these two...
Corban and Sophie's birthdays are just a few days apart!!!

It was a wonderful day!

Birthday Weekend Recap!!

WOW!!!!
We have had one busy BIRTHDAY weekend!!! I have lots of pics to share so I am going to break the weekend up into several posts.

So here's how we spent our Friday...

On Friday we took Corban and Riley to Carowinds to celebrate Cor's 6th birthday! The boys had never been to Carowinds before and they were so... excited to go. The day started out with LOTS( and I mean LOTS- like flash flood warnings) of rain! We contemplated whether we should really go or not. After checking the weather numerous times, we decided to take the chance and headed on over to the park. I prayed the entire way there that the Lord would allow the rain to clear and bless us with nice weather! Would you believe that the second we pulled into the park the rain STOPPED!!!! It didn't rain another drop the rest of the day!
"Thank you Lord for caring about the little things and blessing us with such a wonderful day!"

It was a perfect day to be at Carowinds. Cool, partly cloudy, and no long lines!! We could ride the rides as many times as we wanted. Most of the time we didn't even have to get off in order ride again!
My mom and sister kept the babies so we could enjoy the day with the boys!!
What an AWESOME day we had!!!!

Summer cupcakes

Aren't these cupcakes cute!?!?

The boys and I made these fun summer cupcakes today! I found the recipe on Martha Stewarts Website and I thought they were just too adorable!

We are heading to the lake to visit our friends on Saturday and we thought these would be a fun treat to enjoy while we are there!

End of the year and birthday celebrations!

First grade...here I come!

So this week has kind-of been a week of celebrations! Wednesday, we headed to Corban's school for his end of the year Kindergarten celebration. This year has been wonderful and I am a little sad to see it come to an end! We were so... blessed this year with two wonderful, caring, Christian teachers. Corban has grown so much this year. He has become more independent and responsible! He is quite the reader too! We are so very proud of him!

My grandparents came to celebrate with Cor.

Daddy is so proud of his little guy!

Sophie, Mommy, and Corban

On Thursday, I headed back to Cor's classroom so we could celebrate his 6th birthday with his friends!
I can't believe my little guy is 6 years old today!

Here Corban is with his teacher, Mrs. Mode

with Mrs. Ballard

Riley enjoyed the birthday celebration too!

Pool time

We enjoyed quite a bit of time visiting our neighborhood pool this weekend. This was Sophie's first time in the water and she LOVED it! She splashed and splashed and even put her face in! She was all smiles the entire time we were there! I'm tellin' you...this girls a little fish! Corban and Riley had a blast too! They enjoyed hanging out and playing with many of their friends from the neighborhood!

"All right Daddy...lets go swimming!"

I just LOVE her little suit! I had way too much fun shopping for swim suits for her!

Riley is always very hesitant in the water at first, but
by the end of the weekend, he was jumping in and going all the way under!!!

Corban is a fish!
He spends more time under the water than he does above!!!

"Look at me mom! I'm standing all by my self!!!"

Hudson got to just hang out beside the pool!
He just chilled most of the time!
