I realize the Christmas season has JUST begun, but I think this may be one of our sweetest ones yet. The reason?!?!?
This precious little two year old girl. Y'all, I can't get over it! I can't get over the simple fact that last year, at exactly this time, this little girl sat in an orphanage on the other side of the world. She was alone and waiting...waiting for her mommy and daddy to come get her. I can remember my heart being so heavy during this time last year, as we dillegently worked on the paperwork to bring our baby home. I LONGED to hold our sweet girl, and dreamed of what Christmas would be like this time next year--with Addy-Kate in our family.
And now...one amazing year later...here we are, holding our one AMAZING little girl!
WOW! GOD IS sooooo GOOD!!!!!
All praise to Him for what He has done for our family!

Saturday morning, as we got our crew ready to head to the breakfast with Santa in our neighborhood, I was simply overcome with emotion!
Even as I put Addy-Kate and Sophie in their matching Christmas dresses, my eyes filled with tears.
Tears of pure, UNBELIEVABLE JOY!
Last year, this was just a dream.
And this year...here I am...living it!
It was surreal as we walked to the clubhouse to enjoy our breakfast.
While we were there, AK bounced around the room like she owned the place;)

The kids had the BEST time EVER! They each ate their weight in doughnuts, created lots of fun Christmas crafts, and even wrote a letter to Santa for him to read when he got back to the North Pole that night.
But as much fun as AK had doing all those
activities, she wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with Santa himself. She was okay looking at him from a distance, but she had NO desire to sit on the jolly ole' elf's lap.
That's okay...

there's always next year?!?
What a sweet SWEET Christmas this is going to be for our family;)

What a fun, FUN morning & I love how special this Christmas is for you guys with precious AK! It really is amazing the difference one year can make! I can't even pick a favorite photo because they are ALL too cute! I know that you guys are going to SO enjoy seeing AK enjoy her first Christmas season, but what I love is seeing you guys enjoy the precious gift that she is to your family!
What a beautiful post. Love all of the sweet pictures of your family. What a special Christmas it will be for your family this year.
I completely understand the extra joy this Christmas. I remember being sad last Christmas because we had been waiting and waiting and waiting for the "daughter" who had not materialized. How different it is this year! I even finally got a personalized Christmas ornament with all of our names on it - something I hadn't wanted to do before because I knew there was one more name coming. I hope your entire Christmas season is truly blessed, Jenny!
