Today is Motivate me Monday over at Running to be skinny--my sweet friend Jessica's blog.
I've been reading Jessica's blog since before I even entered the blogging world myself. She was one of the first people I ever "met" when I entered blog land, and I have no doubt that if we lived closer we would be BEST friends!
Jess invited little ole' me to do a guest post about my own "running journey" on her blog today. I'm not sure how "motivational" I really am, but I was excited to have the opportunity to share about how much running has changed my life. Anyway, you can check it out HERE
And speaking of running...I just had to show you my new kicks...
(Okay..seriously...this picture makes my 8.5 foot look gigantic...oh well)
These bad boys went on their first run this morning and did pretty well! I totally broke out of my comfort zone yesterday when I purchase these NEON pink and grey sneakers, but when I saw them I thought..why not?
During my marathon in November, I noticed that ALL the runners who finished the race first wore really funky colored shoes. I'm thinking that there is a correlation between cool colored shoes and SPEED!
I'll have to let you know if my hypothesis is correct:)
Anyway...
Happy Monday Y'all!

...IF THAT'S TRUE, I NEED NEON ORANGE!!!!!
That's great, Jenny- I'll have to check out your post! Love the new neon sneaks! =)
Jenny, You are so inspiring! I have thought about running since my son started Cross Country three years ago...but, I just never have..cause I would also label myself a non-runner! Maybe its time!
I'm also enjoying following your adoption story! It has always been my dream to have four children of my own (which I do) and adopt a little girl from China. blessings and prayers for your family!!
Thanks Jenny, love the shoes. I may have proven your theory wrong yesterday though. :-)
Great guest post! Love your new shoes and laces. Asics have always been my favorite running shoes.
I love the new shoes!
Just read your guest post... from a non-athlete to two full marathons is definitely inspiring! Way to go! I also love that your family is adopting...we hope to adopt at some point as well. Great to 'meet' you!
Great post, Jenny! I began running this past summer with a friend, but stopped right after I had a miscarriage *I know that didn't cause it, but it still scared me! I need to get back in it though...its just been so cold!
Great post and very motivating. I have to ask the obvious question ---- what time do you go to sleep at night to get adequately rested for the early morning run and then a day with 4 kids who don't nap?
I hope so, because I love me some funky colorful shoes! Brighter = awesome!
Great post! Love the sneaks :)
I don't know how but you actually made running sound like fun!!!
LOVE your new kicks! Can't wait to hop over & read your guest post!! You amaze me with your running & everything else girl!! You rock!
