Family Day

I've gotten a little behind on my blogging lately;( Some weeks are just busier than others and this has been one of those CRAZY weeks;) Fall is such a busy time of year for our family! Every day is filled with busyness, and the weekends are definitely no different! I've also been quite busy with adoption "stuff"! An update post on that coming soon;)

This past weekend was a special time not just for our family, but for our entire church family as well. Oh how I LOVE my church! We celebrated the Lord's blessings with a beautiful ground breaking ceremony for our new family life center!
Corban's choir sang during the morning worship service and they did a FANTASTIC job!

After the ground breaking was over, we all headed home for lunch and naps before heading back to church to celebrate...
"Family Day"!
We enjoyed a delicious picnic dinner and also got to sample a few of the entries in the dessert contest;)
My friend, Missy won 1st place for her Key Lime Pie!
You can be sure I got the recipe and am going to try and make her pie this weekend---yummy;)
The kids had a blast hanging out with their friends.
They played tug-a-war,
created spin art master pieces,
jumped in the bounce house,
and did the cake walk.
Finally, after several tries at the cake walk...the boys WON and they definitely
enjoyed their prize!

It truly was an amazing Sunday, filled with wonderful worship and sweet, sweet fellowship!
I seriously can't think of a better way to spend a day!!!

You have a beautiful family! I found your blog over the summer via your sister's blog... I've been meaning to leave a comment to let you know that your "crazy" summer activities inspired me to create a whole little preschool curriculum using the same concept for my girls. It was such a great idea and we are having so much fun each week :)

Congratulations on your newest addition!

Whoo-hoo for family fun day! We had a great time, too! I love that all of your pics captured your extended family, what a blessing when the grandparents (& aunts!) get to share such special times with the kids! Also, GREAT picture of you & Shane! Praying for Addi-Kate!!
