Words of encouragement!

Saturday afternoon Corban had a basketball game. We all loaded up and headed over to the gym where he plays every week.

My two sweet sisters (KK and Al) who were also busy babysitting this weekend, came to watch Corban play. They brought along the three little ones they were caring for too.

With them, they also had several signs which they made for Cor before his game.

Such a simple gesture-I know, but to Cor... it meant the world!!!

After the game was over, Corban told me, "Mom, every time I would get frustrated, of feel bad because I missed a shot,

I would just look over at you guy holding those signs,
and it made me want to try harder the next time !"

The simple power of words...

Oh, and when Corban got home later that afternoon, those signs were promptly hung up on the door in his room.

"Kind words are like honey--sweet to the soul and healthy for the body."
Proverbs 16:24

What a precious, precious post! How awesome for Corban to have his own little cheering section! And his comment on how the signs encouraged him to try harder is priceless!
