Minute to Win It

So our family is totally in love with the new game show "Minute to Win it"!! It airs on NBC @ 8:00pm on Wednesday nights. We're at church when it's on, but we make sure to dvr it so we can watch it together some time on the weekend. If you haven't seen it yet, here's what it's all about...
Ten challenges using household items. 60 seconds on the clock. $1 million on the line. The show features everyday Americans competing in 60-second challenges with household objects for a shot at a million bucks. But as the money increases, so does the level of difficulty. After winning some money, will contestants stay and play, or take the cash and dash?

Last night we played our own little rendition --Bruce family style-- of this popular game.
The teams: Daddy, Corban, and Sophie VS. Mommy, Riley, and Hudson

We started with the...
Egg Tower

Goal--Construct a tower using toilet paper rolls and eggs.

The tower must stay assembled for a full three seconds.
The score: 1 & 1

Next up...
A bite dicey

GOAL--Balance dice on a popsicle stick held in your mouth.
This was a little tricky, but Corban was able to do it on his first try!

RiRi needed just a little help from his team mate;)

It took me a few tries, but I finally got it!

Shane was able to balance FIVE dice---show off;)
After this round the score stood at 2 & 2

Then it was time to try the Breakfast Scramble

GOAL--Assemble the front of a cereal box that has been cut into 16 even pieces.

Unfortunately, Riley and I were unable to accomplish this in under a minute, so Shane, Cor & Soph took the lead.
The score: 3 & 2

On to the...
Candy elevator

GOAL--Use an "elevator" made from 2 pencils and string, to lift 3 M&Ms into the mouth.

This was a little harder, but everyone was able to accomplish this in just under a minute.
Score: 4 & 3

Then it was time for the...
Super Coin

GOAL--Player must bounce and land 5 quarters off of a table and into a bowl.
This is were Riley and I tied the game.
WooHoo!!!!
We were able to catch a total of FIVE quarters.
Our opponents only caught FOUR;)
The score was all tied up: 4 & 4

Then it was time for...

Tweeze Me

GOAL--Player must use tweezers to maneuver a Tic Tac through a tennis racket and land it in a cup.
Both teams had to work hard to secure a win!
Score: 5 & 5

And last BUT definitely not least.
It was time for the...
Magic Carpet Ride

GOAL--Player must sit on a bathroom floor mat and use an inchworm technique to move around obstacles

Insert drum roll here:
After a final tally of all the scores, both teams were neck and neck...
An ultimate tie breaker match has been scheduled for next Friday night where one Bruce family team will be crowned king and winner of the "Minute to Win It" challenge...
Stay tuned;)
