It's beginning to FEEL a lot like Christmas...

Oh My...I really don't think we could have crammed one more "Christmasy" thing into our jammed packed weekend. If we weren't in the Christmas mood already, I can honestly say we are now all oozing with Christmas joy and cheer;)

Saturday morning, our day started with our annual neighborhood breakfast with Santa.

This has definitely become an anticipated family tradition, and a FUN way to kick-off the Christmas season.

The boys are always so...excited to see Santa and share with him all their wishes for that year.

The babies on the other hand weren't too sure about the big guy in the red suit. They kept their distance, and by no means were they going to climb into his lap!

Next to meeting Santa, the Dunkin' Doughnut doughnut holes that were served for breakfast were the highlight of the morning.

Seriously, my kids probably each ate their weight in those treats.

After they were thoroughly stuffed,

it was time to participate in some crafty projects with their neighborhood friends.

After a fun morning, we went home and I helped get the kids settled before heading back out, again. This time I was off to spend the afternoon at MY most anticipated Christmas event of the season--the annual Ladies Christmas Tea at church.

From the moment you walk into the church you are surrounding by Christmas beauty. All eighty tables that fill the room are beautifully decorated by a different lady from our church. Every table is different, unique, and special.
Oh, how I just LOVE walking around, admiring all the lovely Christmas decorations. It truly is a beautiful sight to behold! This was the first year that my mom and I decided to decorate a table together. We've NEVER decorated one before, and I'll be honest, I was a little intimidated, but this year we gave it a try!

We decided to go with a fun, whimsical gingerbread theme. I think it turned out pretty cute...

Go here if you'd like to see some more GORGEOUS tables.
My friend Terri did a great job showcasing them on her blog!

Chatting and enjoying tea with these lovely ladies makes the day so special.

With my wonderful friend Celia.

I also got to meet one of my favorite blogger friends...Mary Ann.
Sorry the pics a little blurry!
I have been following her blog for FOREVER and it was such a treat to finally meet her face to face!

After the tea, I raced home, freshened up, and then headed back out the door once again. This time Shane and I were going to our Sunday School class Christmas party. This is such an elegant evening, with lots of great food, and sweet fellowship with friends.
One of my favorite parts of the evening is when we all gather around the piano and sing Christmas carols.

We also played a fun little game while we sang the 12 days of Christmas....
There were 12 envelopes, each filled with a costume representing a day in the song.
Names were drawn, and each day was then assigned to a person.

Guess what...I was the partridge in the pear tree--HA!!

I was totally embarrassed!!!

Names were also drawn, and door prizes were handed out.
Shane won the much coveted $5o.oo restaurant gift card!
Merry Christmas to US--lol!
Can you say---DATE NIGHT SOON PLEASE!!!!!!

What a joy-filled day and a great way to kick-off the wonderful Christmas season!

I love the idea of having every lady decorate their own tables. That takes the pressure off and seems like fun.

Ack!

The similarities are crazy...I spent half the morning going through pictures and doing a post from OUR Saturday--Mrs. Claus at the library in the morning, followed by the Ladies tea! :)

Glad you had a good day--your table was gorgeous!
