23 days and counting...

Only 23 days left before I'll be lacing up my sneakers and running in my first ever marathon!!!! I am seriously just one big ball of nervous energy! Just thinking about it makes me quiver! I kind-of feel like I did on the days leading up to my wedding or the addition of one of our children. You plan for months, and really can't wait for that day to get here, BUT there's still so much nervousness before the big event actually arrives. Well, that's about how I feel right now!! Training wise...I think I'm ready. I did my big twenty miler on Saturday morning and felt pretty good after I was finished. (I can't believe I was able to run for twenty miles and still walk after it was all said and done---just CRAZY!!! I think I'm crazy sometimes for wanting to do this!) I have one more 20 to do in about a week or so, and then I'll start to taper down my mileage.

The big day is October 30th in Greenville, S.C.
The one thing I look forward to most of all, is seeing the sweet faces of my family cheering me on as I cross the finish line!

Can't wait to CROSS that glorious
FINISH LINE!!!!

Jenny, I am SUPER impressed! Wow...20 miles? I do believe I could run...about one block. I envy people who have that strong heart. Good for you! All the best. And I would love to be at the finish line to watch your sweet family waiting!

Girl, I do think you are JUST a little bit crazy! But, like Kim, I admire what you are doing SO much! And one thing is FOR SURE, you are going to have THE cutest cheering section at the race! I know that you are totally going to rock the run! Way to go!!!

You can do it! I did my first marathon last year and I smiled the whole way. Your hardest runs are over and now it is time to enjoy all your hard work. Carry some verses on paper for encouragement and have lots of people to cheer you on.

That is amazing Jenny! I hope to be there one day!I am running a 5K with my boys this Sat. and then one on the 23rd with them and Karlton (My hubby) will run with us. His first 5k. The boys Cross Country team is hosting a fundraiser and needed 2 people per kids to run. So that should be fun!

It is a small world! I am just getting to know Christine through my Women's Bible Study. but we have gone to the same church for many years! She is a really sweet lady!

Oh Btw..... My boys had a ( Cross Country) race on tuesday and they both beat their best times. Jordan's was 20:59 and Josiah's was 25:05. That is for a 5K. I'm a proud mama! But they will blow me out of the water racing with them in the next 2 races. You can't teach an old dog new tricks( well me anyway. )
