counting down

It's almost here---can you believe it!?! Oh, I still have so much to do...wrapping, baking, crafting, ect...
{Sigh}--Not much time left now!!

This weekend we kind of laid low around here. Shane took the boys out to get their "Christmas" hair cuts and then they headed over to the dollar store in order to do some Christmas shopping.
They came home so excited about all their goodies they got for everyone on their little lists.
Shane helped them wrap their presents, and now they sit under the tree--
just begging to be opened.

Do you think they will be able to wait until Christmas morning?!?
We'll see.

Sunday we headed to church for Christmas Sunday!
I just LOVE our church and our church family!!!

After church, we got to celebrate this sweet little girls 1st birthday.

Emerson!

Emerson belongs to my good friend, Meghan.

Meghan is one of my dearest and best friends.
We have been friends since the 7th grade!

Meghan, and her husband Chad have three little ones and they live literally right around the corner from us.
I hate to say it, but even though they are so close to us, we don't get together nearly as much as we both would like.
Birthdays and holidays are always great reasons to be together!!
Christmas birthday parties are always so much fun.

The boys had fun decorating (and eating) gingerbread men.

And check out this adorable cake Meghan made!!!!
It was amazing!

Well...that's our weekend. I hope you all had a great one too.

We are looking forward to a wonderful (and busy) week!!!
Can't wait!!!!

The family picture is BEAUTIFUL!
I can't believe it's almost here. I'm not ready yet, but still so excited!
The party looks like fun. I know what you mean about not getting together much even though you live near each other!

Wow. It's been a while since I've stopped by...keep thinking about it when I'm no where near a computer. Glad to see you're all well and the littles are growing fast! Merry Christmas!

I think I finished my shopping this morning. Unfortunately, I have things to mail to CA that won't be going out until tomorrow... and am obsessing about my Christmas letter... Gil says not to bother, but then I would have delayed mailing my cards for nothing!!! Everything that needs to get done, will. All else wasn't needed. I am excited about this week, though! Having good times and making good memories. Blessings!

Your family looks wonderful all decked out. Sometimes the low key weekends are the best ones, especially this time of year!
