Would you please pray for us? Riley is going to have his tonsils removed Wednesday (tomorrow) morning at 9:00am. We had an appointment with the ENT doctor yesterday (Monday) and they confirmed that he did indeed need to have the surgery and scheduled it for Wed. I am really anxious about it, but know it will help him feel and sleep so much better. I guess I am more worried about the recovery period. I've heard it can be really hard.
Anyway, would you just pray for my little guy? Pray that the surgery will go well and that the he will recover quickly and not be in too much pain?
I'll let you know how it goes!!!

I was four when I had to go in and get my tonsils and adenoids out and then also tubes in my ears! I do remember it hurting to swallow, so I spit in a wash cloth (sorry if this is too much information), and I also remembering being very thirsty so I constantly was opening drink boxes and would only drink a sip before noticing it was a little painful. But after a few days my mom said things were great!
I survived! Stock up on popsicles, yogurt, and all things soft! I will be praying for little Riley tomorrow morning!
I will pray for Riley and also for you two I am sure it wont be easy!!
I still have mine but a fried had hers taken out and after that she ate a lot of ice cream!! It helped with the pain!! I am sure he would enjoy that!! :)
It is 7:00am and I am currently praying a covering over him. I have a feeling that this will be a breeze!
Be Blessed!

I remember when I had mine removed when I was young, the best news to me was all the popsicles and ice cream I'd be able to eat...although I don't remember eating them :)
Prayed for you last night & also this morning...will continue praying for Riley's comfort & peace for you all. Much love~Melanie
I will be thinking of you. My son, Nolan had his tonsils out at 4yrs old and it was (being honest) difficult. He had a lot of pain, but not initially. It came about 3days after the surgery. I must say it was all worth it. He sleeps so much better and I can tell he just feels better. Good luck.
my 7 year old sister had hers taken out this past December. She recovered well. Now she has a higher voice, but can breathe much easier. Praying for your little guy.
Praying for sweet Riley!!! I pray his recover is QUICK. Blessings!
Oh yes most def. I would be nervous too! Hope it goes well:)
I'm praying womanhood!
praying for you little man today.
praying for you all hoping he feels so much better after he recovers...
Hope the surgery went well! I know what you mean being worried about it. My 2 1/2 year old has to have tubes in her ears and even that is bothering me. And my 4 1/2 year old goes to the dr in 20 minutes to see if he needs tubes as well. There is also talk of doing a tonsilectomy on him because his tonsils are SOOO big. Do you mine me asking why they decided to do one on Riley?

Jenny,
I have just started reading your blog and you are an amazing christian woman. Your children are truely blessed to have such a great mother. Your story of adoption was truely touching as my husband and I have been praying about adopting.
I will be praying that Riley has a speedy and easy recovery.
Blessings,
Courtney
