Would you please PRAY?

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I was discharged from the hospital this afternoon, but we unfortunately had to come home without our precious baby boy.

Very early this morning, the nurse woke me up and let me know that they had to move Hudson over into the NICU. Apparently, he had been vomiting and was experiencing some respiratory distress. Shane and I had been with him all day long and had just sent him to the nursery a few hours earlier in order for me to get some rest. He seemed perfectly happy and healthy before this happened. I was totally shocked and couldn't believe what they were telling me!!

After talking to the doctor this morning, it looks like Hudson has developed some type of infection, and according to his x-ray's, he may have pneumonia in his right lung. They aren't really sure at this point exactly what's going on, but they started him on antibiotics and are closely monitoring his breathing. He will probably have to stay in the hospital for the next 7 days.

Please pray for our Hudson! I still can't believe that this is happening and that we had to come home without him. I just want him home with us so badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pray that the Lord would touch and heal his little body and that the doctors would be able to know exactly what's going on and how to treat it!

I'll do my best to keep you updated. Right now we are just needing your prayers!!!

I am definitely praying!!! I appreciated getting the email from Celia this morning, but was sad that you all have to go through this. Zachary was hospitalized twice: at 3 weeks and again at 5.5 weeks. I know it is just heart-wrenching when it is your precious, tiny newborn. Our Lord will show Himself strong. Let me know if I can do anything!!! Blessings and prayers...

My mom just e-mailed me to tell me to look at your blog (I've been behind on reading).
First of all - congratulations - Hudson is precious!
Second - I know what you are going through and how scary this is. I will be praying and I'm on my way back to my blog to ask for prayers!
Third - you are always cute - but my goodness - how are you so beautiful right after having that baby????

Jenny, Jeremy and I had to leave Haven, our little girl, at Presby NICU for 2.5 weeks. I cried the whole way home. We know how you feel and we are praying for you and Hudson. If you are at Presby, the nurses are fabulous and he is in good hands and in even the bigger and stronger hands of Jesus.

I was so upset to see he had to go to NICU so I immediately email Kelly to see if she knew.

Jenny,

I just sort of stumbled upon your blog. I am so touched by your family!!! It really reminds me of my own. I also have four kids - two older boys 13 and 11, my little princess in the middle 7, and then God had a wonderful sense of humor and blessed us with another boy who is almost 5. So we also have 2 older and 2 younger! I just want you to know that I will be praying for your little Hudson and the rest of your family!!!

Love and Prayers,

Hello, I just found your blog through Kelly's... and just had to leave a comment - I love your family's story! We also adopted a beautiful baby girl, and were blessed and surprised with a pregnancy too - so our sweet girls are 6.5 months apart! So when I read of your Sophie and new baby, I smiled.
May God bless your family, and quickly restore Hudson's health... and you take care too! :)

I am praying for all of you! I'm so sorry you had to leave the hospital without him! From the minute they tell you your child has been moved to NICU, you move into surreal mode! I will praying for Hudson, and for your strength as well!! I don't know what your decision is on breastfeeding, but knowing you, I'm sure you're trying your best to provide for him - which is a hole different scenario when your child can't be with you 24-7. I pray that all of that works out for you too! I pray that Corban, Riley, and Sophie that they stay healthy and that God places a special understanding in their hearts and minds of the patience you and Shane need this week! I pray Shane gets extra strength also!

I love you guys! I'm so sorry this is how Hudson's delivery turned out, but believe that God has a plan for your little boy and is giving him a big 'ole hug right now as all your friends lift him up in prayer!!!

Jenny,

I have not been online this week, so first of all let me say congratulations on such a beautiful baby boy! He is finally here and just as beautiful as we knew he would be! I just read about Hudson having to stay in the hospital and I want you to know that I am adding him to my prayer list and will continue to lift him up in prayer.

Praying for God's healing hand to touch this precious gift from Him and also praying for continued strength for you. Get plenty of rest because you will need it very soon when he gets home!

Remember, HE is your CONSTANT source of stability! (Isaiah 33:6)

Praying and believing,
Emilie

We are praying for sweet Hudson! I know yesterday was so difficult to come home without him. We are praying for peace and comfort for your family as well as strength for Hudson. My son was in the NICU for 10 days with pneumonia and a collapsed lung. The Lord worked in our lives through that experience in an incredible way! I run a ministry called the Footprints Ministry. We minister to families in the NICU. I would love to mail you a Footprints bag. Please email me your address to nicufootprints@yahoo.com

"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
