I've had so much fun mistreating the windows in my house. The dining room windows have been on my "to do" list for a while now, but it seems like other things have taken priority. Well, this week I finally got around to making them.
One of my biggest problems was finding a fabric that matched my bright yellow walls. This fabric is also in my kitchen, but who says you can't use it in two rooms. I searched and searched for anther fabric that would go, but nothing looked right with the yellow walls. The other issue was that I only have this one window in my dining room and it's right up against the wall. I only did one panel because I was afraid that two might be too much!
I had enough fabric leftover, so I made a few pillows for my dining room chairs.
~Another project crossed off the "to do" list!!!

Wish I could sew like that, you're good!!! You want some more sewing projects to do up in Chapel Hill? ;). -Erin Corwin
Oh wow - that looks so awesome! i love that material. I wish I could sew and make beautiful pillows like that!
That is my bedding in my master bedroom! How funny. You did a great job, and the pillow looks great!
I love that fabric and it looks great with your yellow walls! You did such a great job on the curtain and the pillows. I have lived in my house 3 years and STILL no dining room curtains! You've got me to thinking...hmmm...
Jenny, I LOVE that fabric! My living room/foyer walls are the same yellow (and my family room/kitchen is the green shade in the check). It looks beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration.
Also, whenever you have a moment, I'd be interested in knowing more about how the Lord led you to adoption. It has been in my heart for about six years now, and I'm not sure what to do with it!
Saturday blessings ...
Wow Jenn! Awesome job, they are so pretty. I love the fabric, the paint color and your wood work is beautiful. How do you do the pillows? Do you actually have to sew? Also thanks for your sweet comment about Sophia. :)
