Out of hibernation

Winter has been L-O-N-G and cold this year. Both December and January were just down-right frigid! We live in the south and can't take too many below freezing days in a row. Our blood isn't thick enough;)
Our family has spent little, if any, time outside in weeks, maybe longer. It's been so long since we played out in the front yard that we had to re-introduce ourselves to our neighbors;)jk!

Anyway, this weekend was different.

The temps were somewhere in the mid 60's, the sun was shining, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

It was beautiful out!

We took full advantage of the gorgeous weather and spent lots of time outside enjoying the fresh air.

After Cor's basketball game on Saturday...

we made plans to meet some of our sweet friends at the park.

We picked up a few D@mino's pizza's on our way,

and enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch.

It looks like it's gonna be rainy and chilly again the rest of the week. Just another reason I am so thankful for the beautiful weekend we enjoyed, and for a little taste of SPRING!
