I'm back!!!

Hey there!

   Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back to blogging again. I missed it/YOU so much that I just had to come back! Thanks so much for all the emails and facebook messages you sent while I was MIA! I appreciated each and every one!!!! Thanks for making me feel missed!  My reasons for "disappearing" were what I think a lot of bloggers face and contemplate at one time or another--safety issues and concerns about putting our family's life online, time to manage my blog and keep it up, and even feeling judged by others for decisions we have made as a family.  I gave it lots of thought and prayer and realized that because blogging was something I really enjoyed than I should be able to make it work. SO here I am--back at it again!!!

And because some of you may wonder...I'll give you a little update on our adoption process...we don't have any news to speak of YET!!! Our adoption homestudy was approved last month on April 19th. We still plan to foster, but our goal this time around is ultimately adoption. I just told Shane last night that I am so anxious and cannot wait to get "the call" from our social worker. I know the Lord's timing is always PERFECT and I trust Him completely, but I can't help wonder if this week will be THE WEEK we add to our family!!! I remember feeling this way while we were waiting for Sophie lu. And even though this time around I have four little ones keeping my days full and busy, my heart still longs for our next blessing!!

Thanks for caring about us and for following along in our family's journey!! I am so glad to be back!!! And just so you know... I'll be playing catch up on here for a few days. I have several drafts that need to be published, so just bare with me. I'll be back to more updated posts by next week!!

Hudson is TWO!!!

I CANNOT believe that my "baby" is TWO! Yes, TWO!!! 

Wow--we now have TWO TWO year olds in the house! 

Saturday, April 16th we celebrated our little guys birthday with our family and friends at 

The Little Gym.  

We LOVE The Little Gym and are convinced that it is one of the BEST places to have a toddler party.

Just show up and NO clean up!!! Makes for a PERFECT party in my humble opinion;)!

The kids had a blast running, jumping, tumbling, rolling, tackling, and playing in the gym. 

Hudson is in L-O-V-E with Elmo right now,

so that was the appropriate theme of choice for this special occasion!

Makes a Momma Proud!

Every Wednesday night our family looks forward to AWANA's at our church. 

The acrostic stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed! 

It comes from the scripture 2 Timothy 2:15 

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

I really can't say enough about the AWANA program, or about the precious leaders that serve my kids so faithfully every.single.week!!! 

I love that my kids are learning about Jesus while playing games and having fun. I love that my kids are motivated to hide God's word in their little hearts and encouraged to share the gospel with unsaved friends and family! 

I love that my boys look forward to church and can't wait until the next Wednesday night rolls around!!!

Wednesday night we celebrate the end of another wonderful AWANA year.

  

 An awards ceremony was held and all the children who participated in the program this year were honored. Corban earned his Sparky Award for completing all three Sparks books and for also memorizing over 189 verses!

  I was over the moon with excitement for him and so proud of his accomplishments this year!!!

A morning with friends!

We L-O-V-E when friends come to play! 

Last Tuesday, my sweet friend Stephanie had an appointment, so she dropped off her two youngest boys for a morning play date. I have always said that it actually makes my day easier when we have other kids here to play. Friends make "old" toys seem fun again, and they keep my kids busy and entertained 

for hours. 

We enjoyed having these sweet boys over to play...

and had plenty of fun while they were here.

Creating and playing in shaving cream was the highlight!!

Yes, it made quite the mess...

 but boy did everyone smell good when they were finished;)

Family Fun Night at the Y

Last Friday night our family attended "Family Fun Night @ the Y"! 

And YES, it totally lived up to it's title! 

Our family definitely LOVES a good game night, 

and chance for some friendly competition is always fun! 

Running relays, indoor soccer, tug-a-war, and freeze tag, 

were just a few of the games we participated in. 

We practiced our push-ups...

AND did a few sit-ups!

Scooter soccer was definitely a BIG hit with my crew!

And I have to say our family totally ROCKED at this game!!!!

Half-way through the evening we all needed a little break. 

A banana and a juices box was served in order to refuel our energy;)

Oh, and after our evening was over, we made a quick stop by Dunkin' Donuts. 

We all deserved a sweet treat after our "hard" work-out;)

The donut holes most definitely hit the spot!!!

Guess who's a BIG girl now...

YES...that's right, my little Sophie Lu is learning how to use the "big girl" potty!! 

She is actually doing really well! Of course, it doesn't hurt to have a potty that  is PINK, looks like a princess throne, AND sings when she goes--ha! 

She is so.....proud of her little self!!!
