Saturday afternoon Corban lost his first tooth! It had been super loose for quite a while, but every time Shane or I offered to try and wiggle it out---Corban would panic!!!! Totally freak out is more like it!!! Honestly, for the past few days, it was basically just hanging by a thread, but he wouldn't let anyone near it.

Cor was so......EXCITED!
I think he was kind-of relieved too!
So the tooth fairy made her first ever appearance at our house Saturday night. When she went to her wallet to see how much money she should leave him for the tooth, she realized she only had a ten and a one dollar bill. Being Cor's first tooth, she wanted to be generous, but a ten just seemed a little too much. Well this tooth fairy was too tired to run to the ATM or the store to get change that late at night, so ten dollars it was. Corban, of course, was super excited when he woke up and saw a ten dollar bill under his pillow.
We made sure to explain to Cor in the morning that the tooth fairy was SUPER generous for his first tooth, but after that she will probably only leave a dollar or two;). We needed to set the expectation right. He has at least three other teeth that are loose right now too.
At ten dollars a tooth, this tooth fairy would most definitely go broke! LOL!
oh he looks so cute! and that WAS a generous tooth fairy. My husband's job was to put the money under the pillow ~ sometimes he would forget! as that ever happened to anyone? I would go in in the morning to wake my daughters and carefully say GOOD MORNING and slip the money under the pillow or one time (lol) I couldn't manage sticking it under the pillow so I put it on the floor and said oops! look it must have fallen out from your bed.
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy once left me $10 too. Of course she forgot to show up 2 nights in a row, so the $10 was supposed to make up for that! ;) So cute.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! He looks cute with a missing tooth :)
ReplyDeleteTEN BUCKS!! Maybe we need to hook up with your tooth fairy! LOL!! He does look super cute with that missing tooth!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, girl! Don't let Cor tell TyTy about that!!! Then I'll be in big trouble! The tooth fairy doesn't even know how to get to our house!!!
ReplyDeleteOh what a handsome little fellow he is!! Congratulations- now the fun begins!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe've had our fair share (okay, a lot!) of tooth fairy mishaps, but they only made me think harder and more creatively when I goofed, hee hee!
How fun!!
ReplyDeleteI always love hearing how much my students get from the tooth fairy. She is leaving much more now, than she did when I was little. Congrats to Corbin!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable grin! Congrats to Corban! The Tooth Fairy had a similar predicament here on the first lost tooth...there were only $20s to be found! Beginners special, but I suppose it has set a precedent!
ReplyDeleteAw, fun milestone! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. What a milestone losing your first tooth is. The smiles after teeth start falling out are never the same as those precious baby teeth smiles!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting day for Corban!
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy was quite generous!
