Can you believe this!?!?

Who would of thought that the day I choose to blog about my new van, this happened...

No...thankfully we were not in an accident, but we did have a little incident yesterday afternoon.

We hang a tennis ball from the ceiling of the garage as a way of knowing where to stop when we are pulling the car into the garage. Since the van is a little bit longer than my Jeep, we needed to move the tennis ball to accommodate the van. Yesterday afternoon, Shane climbed onto the roof of my car in order to move the string. He sat down and placed the ball in the new spot. He then slid down the windshield to in order to hop off the car. Well, as you can see his... um....... rear end cracked the windshield. Thankfully he wasn't hurt!!!! The only thing hurting is our pocketbook because now we have to pay to replace the entire windshield!!!
Can you believe it!?!?!?

  5. By the way....safelite auto glass is relatively cheap. Ask them if they have any "specials." I got my new windshield for 250.00

  6. Oh my goodness! Thankfully your husband wasn't hurt and of course it happens right after you told everyone about your new mini van!Btw, I've been following your blog for awhile now and I want to tell you are so blessed to have such beautiful, healthy kids:o)
God Bless to you and your family:o)
P.S. Sophia has such the cutest smile ever; she is so adorable and I loved the photo of her in pigtails! I have 2 boys, 12 yrs. and 10 yrs. so there are no pigtails in our home except I do have 2 Westies (1 male, 1 female) and I guess I could put a bow in my Westie girl's hair!!
    Take care!

That's terrible about your windshield! Thankfully it is an easy (although not cheap) fix! Glad that you are enjoying your new ride!

  8. Oh No! Won't your insurance pay for it? My hubby just had to have his replaced and it didn't cost him a thing. I guess we have glass coverage.

  22. It's new and they will replace it free of charge under the warranty through Toyota..I'm sure of it. call Toyota and tell then what happen....a man sitting on the windshield shouldn't have caused this...glass is strong!
